Things have been pretty quiet around here.  I apologize for that.  Part of the reason for that is because I’ve been apologizing over at CraftyCon, too.  It was like a perfect storm of circumstances and we’re not going to be able to do it.  No CraftyCon.  I’ve been depressed, sad, sick, and anxious for the past couple of weeks thinking about how this has to happen.  I’ve been feeling pretty sorry for myself but I’m going to stop it now.  Time to look toward the future and move on to the next big thing.  For me, today, that’s laundry.

Want to win a ticket to CraftyCon?  It will just take five minutes of your time.  To be eligible to win, all you need to do is complete the following survey:

When you aren’t in one of the three educational tracks being offered, you can chill out in the Creative Hub and get your craft on.  Or you can hob-nob with the celebrities and experts in our Networking Lounge with free WiFi.

Are you ready? Registration is now open. We’ll be announcing our speakers and sponsors over the next several weeks. Let’s just say that attendees will be getting their money’s worth in products alone! If you are interested at all at making crafting or designing your business (or making your existing business even better)…you should do whatever it takes to get there.

We announced CraftyCon just over a week ago!  Today we’ve opened submissions for our call for speakers!  Wondering what to submit?

We’ve had to be a little bit sparse on the details as we’re finalizing our plans with sponsors but we want to give you a heads up on what kind of content we will be providing.

CraftyCon is “For Crafters, By Crafters.” and we want to make sure you play a huge role in its success.  We’re looking for authors, designers, crafters just starting out with their businesses, etsy shop owners, etc…  Do you have something you’ve learned the hard way in your craft business?  Have an innovative marketing idea you’d like to share?  Have tips on how to get published or pitch a book?  Are you a member of a crafty group in your area?  Certainly don’t limit yourself to these types of things…they are just to get you thinking!

Do you have someone in particular that you’d like to hear speak at the conference?  Let us know that, too!

We’ll see you in Chicago!

Simone, Christy, and Sarah

We’re spending the weekend at the Supershow and we worked the CraftyCon booth in the Craft Critique sponsored Handmade Pavilion.  Phew.  That was a mouthful.  In retrospect, we should have taken these pictures at the beginning of the day, not the end.  We are all running on very little sleep and the switch to the west coast time isn’t helping.

we iz crazy, yo

We will be back at the booth again today. If you’re in Southern California, come and check us out at the Anaheim Convention Center! We’re giving away all sorts of crafty goodies…including a Gypsy or Cricut Expression and a Xyron Creatopia.

Maybe today we’ll be better prepared for our pictures.

It’s here!  It’s here!  The big announcement.  For the past couple of months I’ve been working with Deb (my partner on Toolulu), Sarah from Craft Critique, and Erin from Schlosser Designs to make this a reality.  CraftyCon is a craft conference you won’t want to miss!

It is going to be in Chicago, October 21-23.  It will be plum chuck full of craft celebrities and inspiration.  Consider it the chance to earn your crafting MBA.   You’ll have the opportunity to meet and interact with top names in the craft industry and find out what it really takes to make it in the craft world.

If you are serious about crafting, check it out.  Registration will open soon.  Make sure you sign up with your email address and we’ll let you know as soon as you can register!  We’ll have a great early bird deal you won’t want to miss out on.
